Besides learner-directed asynchronous elearning, I have also developed hundreds of hours of courseware for other elearning modalities. For example, I was responsible for developing an innovative instructor-led synchronous elearning experience that leveraged the strengths of virtual classroom technologies in Ascolta Virtual. I also developed a blended elearning course for the E-Learning Instructional Design Practicum that I teach at the UCI Extension. It is hosted on Moodle and engages the learners with activities like:
- lectures on-demand.
- interactive discussion fora.
- digital reading material.
- application assignments.
I developed some of the lessons, including Revising E-learning and Quality Assurance (QA), as asynchronous learner-directed courseware to create a blended learning experience. Here is a capture of the practicum’s home page. Since the practicum has eight lessons, an orientation and other general course resources, its home page is quite long. So this screen capture shows just a couple of the lessons. Click the image to view the entire E-Learning Instructional Design Practicum home page (PDF).
